Shifts

Section leaders can review detailed statistics for specific shifts. They have the ability to choose a particular shift, access an hourly pace overview, compare each hour of that shift with the average wRVU read during that hour for the selected time period and many more valuable data points.

New Features:

• Outside Shift Interval:

You can now define a specific time window around a scheduled shift to count exams as outside-of-shift reads. Any exams completed beyond this interval (before or after the shift) will not be assigned to any shift — they will simply be excluded from shift-based productivity views (but remain in DataVibe).

Example:

If the interval is set to ±30 minutes, only exams read within 30 minutes before or after the scheduled shift will be included as outside-of-shift reads. Exams beyond that range will be left unassigned.

Use Case:

This feature is especially useful for special projects or cases that occur outside of regular scheduled shifts.

• Expanded Graph Options:

Two additional views have been added to the first graph on the Shift Statistics page.

• “Total wRVU” in In-Time Graph:

The “In Time” graph now includes the option to view Total wRVU, giving a comprehensive view of shift-based production over time.

Example Use Case:

To answer, “In the last 6 months, what has been the average RVU production on the Body shift across the entire practice?”

• Go to Statistics – Shifts

• Select the desired date range or apply filters

• In the second graph, choose “Average wRVU per Shift”

Exporting Shifts

To generate reports on shift activity, users can export shift data by selecting the desired time range and interval. This is done by clicking the export icon, which is located below the range selection buttons. The export function allows for easy data retrieval and reporting, making it simpler to analyze radiologist productivity over custom periods.

Advanced Shift Management

The dashboard includes Advanced Shift Management features that provide enhanced flexibility in scheduling. Notably, this functionality allows administrators to account for and mark specific periods (e.g., lunch breaks) as work time outside of standard shifts. This feature can be customized to meet the specific needs of your group, ensuring that productivity metrics accurately reflect radiologist activity, even during designated breaks or special scheduling circumstances.
