Section leaders can access various data that provides information on their group's workload, staffing, days off, shift coverage planning, and more.
Staff vs Shifts
During a specified time period, section leaders can assess whether the group is understaffed or overstaffed, with the impact on the group being visible in both points and FTE. This information can be further segmented into specific locations.
Shifts Points - indicate the number of points and shifts that need coverage. Clicking on this will display a detailed breakdown of these shifts. The bold locations are the primary ones, and the numbers within them represent the sum of the detailed breakdowns under each.
Staffing Standard Points - indicate how many points can be delivered by radiologists under the current staffing without working extra or fewer shifts.
Difference Standard Points - difference between Shift Points and Staffing Standard Points
Difference Standard FTE - difference recalculated to FTE
Difference % - for this example, let's assume that the group is understaffed by 8.7%. The text displayed when you hover over the 'Difference %' value would be:
"To cover all shifts in the Body group, each radiologist must work 8.7% more."
Days off
Section leaders can review the remaining days off for radiologists within their group for the selected year, based on the schedule pulled from Qgenda. This can be helpful for equalizing schedules, ensuring that no radiologist ends up with too many days off or negative days off left.
After clicking the 'Days off' button, a list of all radiologists within one section appears, showing their days off according to FTE levels, schedule, and staffing.
In the upper left corner, it is possible to filter these radiologists within the group to see only specific subgroups. Additionally, there is the option to sort them by remaining QA days + Days off to precisely determine who is most in need of a day off. This can be used for efficient planning.
Shift coverage planning
The tool is designed for planning radiologists within a specific section. The section leader can determine the workload distribution for specific subgroups or locations. The time period always displays the entire year, with the list of all radiologists on the left and calculations of the points they can deliver for that particular year at the top. The section leader can adjust the percentage of work for each radiologist in different locations and then plan shifts and schedules accordingly.
