The Productivity Shifts feature is a valuable tool for section leaders in managing unexpected high volumes of incoming exams. It notifies specific groups of radiologists based on various setup options, allowing radiologists to opt for additional ad-hoc shifts based on their availability and preference. Real-time tracking of shifts, wRVUs, and exams is conducted, along with instant email records and notifications.
The Productivity Shifts module comprises two distinct interfaces and an email notification system. The first interface is tailored for section leaders, empowering them to decide when to initiate a Productivity shift. The second interface caters to radiologists willing to sign up for extra work shifts.
Within the leaders' interface section, there is an option in the menu to create a productivity shift when necessary to cover the high volume of incoming exams. To initiate this, the section leader simply clicks the 'Solicitation' button in the menu.
The subsequent step involves selecting the specific shift. Once clicked on a specific shift, another pop-up window is displayed.
In this window you can find all solicited shifts. At the bottom you can see how many points are actually available to radiologists. Please note that only one solicitation can be opened at a time. Every time a new solicitation is initiated, all previous ones are 'closed.' This means that if there were any remaining, unclaimed points, they will be deleted.
There are two ways to solicit points: you can solicit them immediately, or you can schedule the solicitation for a specific time. Once you click on "NEW SOLICITATION" button pop up window will display.
You can enter the number of points that need to be covered by radiologists. If you want to solicit points immediately, just click on the 'SEND SOLICITATION' button. If you would like to schedule a solicitation for a specific time, click on the underlined immediately text.
Following this action, an automatic email is dispatched to all radiologists in the section, detailing the number of points solicited. If available, radiologists can voluntarily join, assist other radiologists, and work an extra productivity shift.
When the radiologist finishes the productivity shift, the following email is sent to all involved parties (the radiologist himself, the section lead, the scheduler...).
